JSMAA: an open source software for SMAA computations

چکیده

Most software for Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) implement a small set of compatible methods in a closed monolithic software. Sometimes, however, the model can be generated through external information sources and therefore the supporting software should enable their integration. This paper motivates the need for model generation through existing applications of Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis (SMAA) methods, and describes the JSMAA software that implements the SMAA-2, SMAA-O, and SMAA-TRI methods. JSMAA is open source and divided into separate graphical user interface and library components, enabling its use in systems with a model generation subsystem.

GaussDal: An open source database management system for quantum chemical computations

An open source software system called GaussDal for management of results from quantum chemical computations is presented. Chemical data contained in output files from different quantum chemical programs are automatically extracted and incorporated into a relational database (PostgreSQL). The Structural Query Language (SQL) is used to extract combinations of chemical properties (e.g., molecules,...

Parallelizing Pre-rendering Computations on a Net Juggler PC Cluster

Net Juggler, an open source library developed at LIFO, turns a commodity component cluster running the VR Juggler platform on each node into a single VR Juggler image cluster. Net Juggler parallelizes rendering computations for immersive projection environments but pre-rendering computations are redundant. In this paper, we present how a classical parallelization of the pre-rendering computatio...

Large Scale Parallel Computations in R through Elemental

Even though in recent years the scale of statistical analysis problems has increased tremendously, many statistical software tools are still limited to single-node computations. However, statistical analyses are largely based on dense linear algebra operations, which have been deeply studied, optimized and parallelized in the high-performance-computing community. To make high-performance distri...

A Proposal to Expand the Community of Users Able to Process Historical Rainfall Data by Means of the Today Available Open Source Libraries

The paper presents a software architecture based on open source technologies, implemented by the authors in an experience of processing spatio-temporal data gathered by rain gauges spread across two regions of central Italy. The interest in the automatic processing of data about precipitation is widespread, however, today only an inner circle of stakeholders can think of taking advantage of the...

Detecting Soft Errors in Stencil based Computations

Given the growing emphasis on system resilience, it is important to develop software-level error detectors that help trap hardware-level faults with reasonable accuracy while minimizing false alarms as well as the performance overhead introduced. We present a technique that approaches this idea by taking stencil computations as our target, and synthesizing detectors based on machine learning. I...
